The next organ concert at Cradley Church will be given by Timothy Parsons on Sunday 24th May, at the slightly later than usual time of 4pm. The concert will last about an hour, and will be followed by tea and cake, included in the entry price of £12. Under 18s go free!
Timothy’s last concert, three years ago, was greatly enjoyed, and we are looking forward to welcoming him here again. He will present a varied programme, including Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C, Mendelssohn’s Sonata in A, Elgar’s Imperial March, and the contemporary composer Ghislaine Reece-Trapp’s Fantasia on ‘Sumer is icumen in’.
Timothy is currently Director of Music at Wells Cathedral, and has held musical appointments at St. Edmundsbury, Exeter, Winchester, and Hereford cathedrals, and at Selwyn College, Cambridge. He broadcasts regularly on Radio Three, and has featured on CDs as an organist, conductor, and composer.
