St Peter's and St James (SPSJ) is an open Evangelical Anglican parish in the small cathedral city of Hereford.
Actively involved in the community, in social issues, in the arts, in the environment, SPSJ is a friendly and warm church where you can find yourself at home.
10.30am in St Peter’s (1st Sunday): ‘The Way In’
‘The Way In’ is the name for our cafe style service that we have on the first Sunday of every month at 10.30am. It’s worship in a relaxed, informal and interactive style for all ages and with refreshments! Why not come along and see what we get up to?
10.30am in St Peter’s: Praise, Prayer and Preaching
On the remaining Sundays music is lead by keyboard, guitar and a group of singers. Twice a month (2nd and 4th Sundays) this service is based on a contemporary Morning Prayer, with a blend of modern and traditional hymns and songs; once a month (3rd Sunday) it is Holy Communion.
6.30pm Sunday evening (not the first Sunday) and mid-week services offer opportunities for discussion, healing, prayer, Taize -style worship, fresh expression and contemplative prayer.
