Dear Friends,As I write this there are undoubtedly more bombs dropping on Iran and the surrounding countries. We obviously pray for peace but at the same time it seems harder and harder to know what to pray or what to do - we seem more divided than ever with all sorts of statements being made by all sorts of people on social media and some of the lies are absolute whoppers! So what do we do? Well, we are still in the middle of Lent and so I'd recommend that you take time away from the newsreels and the various types of media you consume and instead still your heart in God's presence. Throw your cares and worries and anger on him and let him care for you. I think you'll feel a lot better for it and will find that it may put you in a position to pray for your neighbour, the person down the street who clashed with you on Facebook or on what you said, whoever else you can think of and especially if you don't want to! These are times where we can trust only in God and that isn't a bad place to be, even amid all the seeming chaos and bad news. Fr. Richard
