About Us

We are a very small community in a beautiful part of south west Herefordshire, in the Wye Valley.
We have a Grade I Listed Norman church, built of local tufa stone.

"Moccas is one of those churches where time seems to have stood still. Set in the most glorious Herefordshire countryside close to the manor of Moccas Park, on a summer evening this was an idyllic visit." [from Simon Jenkins' book Great English Churches - see http://greatenglishchurches.co.uk/html/moccas.html]

A splendid organ dominates the west end; Gillbert Scott designed it and Thomas Kempe painted it.  The case is considered to be of significant importance and a restoration project is currently underway.  The organ has been removed to Walkers of Malvern and the casing will soon be going away for cleaning and restoring.

The church is open daily.

Moccas is one of one of seven parishes in the Borderlinks benefice.  Our vicar is Priest in Charge, Revd Luci Morriss.
