The course will increase your confidence, equip you to read the Bible better and help you to see its relevance to daily life. The course provides a birds-eye view of the world’s bestselling book.

Over the eight interactive sessions, it combines video teaching, group discussion, personal reflection and daily readings.
Key features
The Bible Course helps you see how the books of the Bible are part of one big story
Using a unique storyline, The Bible Course will show you how key events, books and characters fit together
Video teaching, written guides, diagrams and readings will help you grow in confidence as you read the Bible for yourself.
It's a great follow-on resource for those who have done introductory courses like Alpha and Christianity Explored
There is a course book available at a cost of £4.99. Please contact Carol if you would like to come.

Myndtown: St John the Baptist

Welcome to St John the Baptist and it's beautiful rural setting. We are part of the OnnyCamlad Benefice, a group of 9 churches within the Diocese of Hereford.

This Church of England Church dates from the 12th Century or earlier. It is considered to be unique as a country church (not only within Shropshire, but within the whole country) as it was not "spoilt" by Victorian restoration and retains its thoroughly rural, simple (almost primitive) look and feel. Once a substantial medieval village, the hamlet of Myndtown now has only the former rectory and a farmhouse with its barns.

It is in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, at the end of a dead-end lane at the foot of the dramatic Long Mynd (much of which is National Trust Land). This makes it a place of silence, broken only by birdsong, the lowing of cattle and bleating of sheep. Even non-religious people feel it is a place of sanctuary from the modern world. Our church is open everyday for you to come and have some quiet time and we welcome visitors to all of our services.

The parish of Myndtown is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our safeguarding officer, Mrs Sue Cooke. The Diocese of Hereford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
