A Message including an invitation from our Rector

Dear Friends

Just a reminder that you are very warmly invited to join us in St Andrew's Presteigne tomorrow (Saturday 29th) at 3pm to meet and pray with Rt Rev Richard Jackson, the new Bishop of Hereford (pictured).

The format of the event has changed somewhat - it will now be a formal liturgical service - but it's still a first opportunity to meet Bishop Richard as he 'beats the bounds' of the Diocese on his pilgrimage around his new patch.

No hymns, sadly, but Tim is going to play the Mighty Wurlitzer for us fore and aft.

Please come if you can!

It would be especially good if we can get a grand turnout of Church Wardens and PCC members.

Just a further reminder, though, that we have to wear face coverings in our services.

You can find the Readings and Collect for Trinity 12 elsewhere on this site.

These are not the readings we'll be using in church this Sunday, however, as we're holding our special Iona Service this Sunday (30 August) at 11 am in St Andrew's, celebrating St Aidan of Lindisfarne, one of the most significant figures in the history of Christianity in these Islands.

Again - everyone is welcome.

It would be lovely to see you at either or both services this weekend if you can make it.

With every good wish and prayer

Steve
