Please find elsewhere on this page a Service for Use at Home on Remembrance Sunday – this Sunday, 13th November. Below the Service itself you should find a Psalm and two Bible Readings to go with it.

I hope you will find these helpful as we mark this solemn occasion of Remembrance in these sad, difficult and sometimes frightening days.

It's important to remember that the Bible was written in times of great struggle, danger and darkness - and that the prophets, spiritual leaders, teachers and writers we meet in its pages all offer the same message of hope to the world – that God is with us – no matter what.

The Bible Readings included with the Service are only three among hundreds of texts which carry the reassuring message of God's presence with his people – and the blessed truth that with God alongside us, we need never be afraid.
