Due to increased concerns about the potential spread of Covid-19, we are sorry that Kinsham, Lingen and Discoed churches have decided not to open for public worship for the forseeable future. This means that the services that had previously been announced for Kinsham and Discoed on Sunday 24 January have been cancelled. However with strict precautionary measures in place we are continuing to meet at Presteigne, although we have to ask you not to speak to one another before or after the services, inside or outside. There will be no singing and everyone is asked to wear a mask throughout the service (unless exempt) and to sanitise their hands when arriving and leaving. The chairs that we use are thoroughly cleaned before and after the service.
Dear Friends Please find elsewhere on this page your copy of the Collect and Readings for the Second Sunday of the Season of Epiphany. These are for use with the Epiphany Season Service I sent out last week – or with any of the other Services I’ve sent if you prefer!Sadly, but understandably, Lingen PCC has now decided to suspend Sunday services until further notice, so the service planned for 9.30 this coming Sunday – 17th January – is cancelled. As things stand today, we are intending to hold the Communion Service at 11 at Presteigne on Sunday. This will be an abbreviated service without hymns (or 'humns'). May I remind those who are attending that we have tightened up the 'no mingling' rule and ask you not to socialise or chat before or after the service, inside or outside the church building. If you know of anyone else in the parish who would like to receive our weekly readings and services – printed and hand delivered or sent by email - please let me know and I will gladly add them to the e-mailing list or to the 'paper round'.Keep safe and wellWith my very best wishesStephen
