Movie Nights

Occuring
for 2 hours, 30 mins
Venue
Christ Church Roxeth
Address
Christ Church, Roxeth Hill, Harrow, HA2 0JN, United Kingdom

This Easter Week we will be running a special series of movie nights that go quite well alongside our current sermon series on being made in the Image of God. We hope that some of these dates suit you and you can bring your friends and family along too! These will be taking place in our lounge space at Christ Church.
Each evening begins at 7 pm

Monday Night 25th March : A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood: Rated PG -based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Lloyd Vogel. Mr. Rogers life is a wonderful example of living a life reflecting the Image of God.

Tuesday Night 26th March: After the Flood: The Church, Slavery and Reconciliation: Rated PG - This 67 minute feature documentary shows how the 18th century Church became embroiled in chattel slavery. We discover how the Church justified its involvement in the trade and its lasting impact. The film then explores what this means for Christian reconciliation today.

Wednesday Night - 27th March : Les Miserables: 2012 Rated 12+: In 19th century France, Jean Valjean, who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after breaking parole, agrees to care for a factory worker's daughter. The decision changes their lives forever. Do we see in this God moving to restore humanity?

Hope to see you there!

Christ Church Roxeth

Christ Church Roxeth is a diverse community of all ages. We gather and worship together in a range of ways, from the traditional to contemporary and creative.

We are actively engaged in our local area in a variety of ways, including through our charity shop found, strong youth work and a variety of community activities. As part of One Church Harrow we are seeking to make disciples and plant churches across Harrow.

We are currently gathering for worship regularly both online and in our building; with services in a range of styles and formats. All are welcome to join us. See 'Services and Events' for more details.

Check out www.ccrharrow.org and www.facebook.com/ccrharrow to find out more about who we are as a church family.

The parish of Christ Church Roxeth is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. Find out more at www.ccrharrow.org/safeguarding
