Getting here

It is believed that there has been a church on the site where St. Bridget’s now stands since the 6th century; the present building dating from the 13th century. Restoration has been carried out when necessary, ensuring the church is warm and inviting to all who visit. It is open daily throughout the summer months. There is a bell tower housing 5 bells used occasionally for services and weddings by a dedicated band of bell ringers from both churches. Next to the church there is a church room with toilets and kitchen facilities and there is ample car parking.

St Bridget’s is part of a benefice with St Mary's Church, Berrow.  It is also part of a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) with Brean Methodist Church. This was set up in the 1980s to encourage the 2 churches to worship, study, enjoy social events and serve the village of Brean together.
