The Blessed Virgin Mary
St Mary's Church is at the heart of our village. Please join us in putting the church at the heart of your lives.
We are a rural Somerset parish with a generous and diverse local community, a committed and supportive congregation and a welcoming church building that is undergoing restoration, which began with a new roof in 2018. The ‘Templecombe Head’ Panel Painting has hung in the church since 1956. It was discovered in a garden outhouse in 1945 and has been carbon dated to 1280 and linked to the Knights Templar who owned property locally. It attracts visitors from around the world.
This parish takes the wellbeing and safety of the children and vulnerable adults that attend our church very seriously. If you wish to raise a safeguarding concern, please contact Isabel Wood our safeguarding officer on 01963 371608 or by email: [email protected] Alternatively you can contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Team on 01749 685135 and find more information on their website: https://www.bathandwells.org.uk/diocese/safeguarding/
