About Us

St Barnabas Anglican Church is in the beautiful village of Queen Camel.  The building is outstanding and can be approached along the cobbled Church Path.  A leaflet giving the history of the Church is available inside which includes details of our bells, the heaviest ring of six in the world! (Tower Captain Paul Reeves – 01935 850 625).

We hold both traditional and more informal acts of worship -  There is a thriving children’s group, The Camel Club, held everyThursday evening in term time from 5.00 - 6.15pm and the church has also helped develop a village café on the second Tuesday of every month.   We also have a church allotment scheme and the church won the Church Times Green Church Award for action in the community in 2007.

For baptisms and weddings please contact the Benefice Office.

We also sensitively engage with people who have been divorced who would like to explore marrying in church.
