St Peter's, Catcott is part of the Polden Wheel Benefice.
You will find details of St Peter's services and openings on this website. It includes a Communion service as part of the Benefice rota, and a monthly Service of Quiet. The Church is also open 3 days a week (10am to 5pm) for private prayer. There is hand sanitiser in the porch and there are restrictions in place, which are explained on a notice on the font as you enter.
In terms of the Benefice as a whole, during the pandemic the main service is the popular weekly Informal Worship via Zoom at 11am.
We will also have a weekly communion service at 9.30am at one of the Churches in the Benefice. This will have some limitations compared to normal. Each church will have plans for where to arrive and leave, and where to sit. At present, communion will be bread only, and not wine - this is because drinking from a common cup is not currently permitted. There will be no singing.
We also hope to hold Outdoor Worship services about once per fortnight, though with the winter coming, these will be more difficult.
You can find more information on the website: https://www.poldenwheel.co.uk/ and the Facebook page.

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
