Yeovil town centre church offering a warm welcome, main Sunday Service 10:30 a.m. with an informal service with a music group at 6.30pm
The ancient parish church of St.John the Baptist, mainly of 14th century origin, has a long history and is the focal point of the whole town. Built in the Perpendicular style it is a large and beautiful building widely known as "The Lantern of the West". It has a massive western tower, 90 feet high, which houses a ring of ten bells and the ancient sanctus bell. The church itself is surrounded by a large "closed" grassed churchyard.
