Children’s groups are provided in our Junior Church, and there is a creche for babies. Children remain in church for the beginning of the service, before leaving for their groups

Wherever you are is where this service will be. 'Tune-in' to watch the live-stream service from your own home and know that God is with you in that place.
Most of our church community are now back in church for services, but we continue to live-stream our 10:30 service, so please do join us online if not in person.

Our junior church meets every Sunday except for the 1st & 5th Sunday in the month when the children join us for a service in church. We have groups for the following ages.
Creche: 0-3 years old
Scramblers: 3 years old – Reception
Climbers: School Years 1 to 3
Explorers: School Years 4 to 6
Pathfinders: School Years 7 to 9
We also have Youth group on Friday evenings for teenagers, 11-18 years old.

Tuesday communion

A non-singing, midweek communion followed by refreshments. A quieter affair than Sundays but very welcoming to all. With full covid safety measures in place, we would like to welcome you to join us for this weekly service.
Gone Fishing Cafe

Yeovil
A weekly cafe held in the church, which is open to anybody. On hand every week are members of our Christians Against Poverty debt centre team who can spend time talking to you about debt and the work of CAP if you require it. If you would like someone to prayer with you or simply to spend a bit of time talking with you these are also possible. Otherwise, just a perfectly ordinary, rather friendly

Our St John’s all-age service happens on the first Sunday of each month. It’s a friendly and accessible service with music led by our band. There are no separate children’s groups but creche facilities are provided, and the service will be appropriate for children and young people. The service lasts about an hour. You can attend in-person, or watch online via our YouTube livestream (see separate event post for details about this).
First Wednesday Prayer Meeting

This meeting is currently happening both live and by Zoom, giving you a choice of options. A chance for the church to meet and pray for our work, our community, our church family, our diocese, and other current events and happenings. We start with coffee and a natter.
Happens on the first Wednesday of every month.
Fellowship Groups

In St John's we have about 14 fellowship groups. These are midweek groups, meeting twice a month on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday, both during the day and in the evening.
The groups meet in the host’s homes, all of which are situated primarily in Yeovil, but with a couple in Sherborne.
Our fellowship groups exist for three principal purposes:
- To study the Bible together in a small group
- To support one another in prayer
- To develop deeper Christian friendships
