About Us

St Peter's, with its sister church St James', are in the Parish of Preston Plucknett, Yeovil.

St. Peter’s is the Church of England parish church for Westfield, providing for the spiritual needs of the area together with our sister church of St James’, Preston Plucknett. We are a community of people trying to worship and follow Jesus, and to work out what that means in the 21st century in our local community. St Peter’s people meet in our Church in Coronation Avenue (opposite the chip shop).

St. Peter’s is strongly involved in the local community, and has Sunday Club for children, as well as running midweek groups for youth and social groups for adults.

Its old hall was recently replaced with a brand-new Community Centre and is a facility for the whole Westfield community. It is a great base for local groups, and a welcoming space that is open throughout the week for people to drop in to.  The church and community centre have just opened as a "Warm Hub" for the local area, with affordable hot food and an extended lounge area offering somewhere comfy, warm and welcoming, over the coming winter.
