Opening

See our services and events for times when the church will be open.  We also are open for other events such as concerts and book signings hosted by Topping & Co.

Getting here

Walking from Milsom Street in the centre of Bath (about 7 minutes' walk or 500 metres):

  Walk up Milsom Street to its junction with George Street. Turn right and cross George Street using the pelican crossing you will find in about 20 metres.

 On the other side of this crossing you will find the beginning of Bartlett Street - continue walking up this pedestrianised road.  Cross Alfred Street and walk along Saville Row (also pedestrianised) beside the Assembly Rooms.

  When you reach the junction with Bennett Street, cross the road and turn left.  After about 50 metres you come to the junction with Russell Street. Turn right to walk up this road until it meets Rivers Street.

Turn right and cross Julian Road. Christ Church is immediately in front of you.

====

Walking or driving from the west along Julian Road

As you travel along Julian Road, do not confuse us with our friends at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, which has a red tiled roof and is located between the junctions with Harley Street and Burlington Street (opposite the Co-Op).

Once you have passed St. Mary's Church and the Co-Op, continue passed the parade of shops on your right.  Once you have passed the end of Morford Street, Christ Church will be on your left in about 30 metres.

====

Walking or driving from Lansdown Road (north and east of Christ Church)

Leave Lansdown Road and travel down Julian Road (opposite the junction with Guinea Lane) for about 100 metres.  Christ Church is on your right, first the main building, then the entrance to the car park.  Go through the car park to get to the main door.

Parking

Please note that as we are a city centre church, although we have a small car park the number of spaces is quite limited. The nearest public car park is 10-15 minutes walk away in Charlotte Street. On Sundays, street parking in the area around the church might be possible.

We are always happy to reserve parking or drop off spaces for visitors for whom a public car park or street parking would not be suitable. Please contact us to arrange this.

By Bus

Two bus routes pass close to Christ Church. Click on the links below to find the relevant timetables:

6/7 route - this route passes along Lansdown Lane to the east of Christ Church. Follow the walking directions from Lansdown Lane above

20A/20c route - this route passes along Julian Road immediately past Christ Church, but does not operate on Sunday.

By Train

Our nearest station is Bath Spa. A map showing the location of the station can be found here. The 6/7 bus (see above) runs from Bath Bus Station, which is adjacent to the railway station. It is a 0.8 mile uphill walk from the railway station to Christ Church, which takes 15-20 minutes.
