World Day of Prayer Service

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
Banwell Methodist Church
Address
11 West St, Banwell, BS29 6DA, United Kingdom

This year’s World Day of Prayer Service has been prepared by the Christian women of Nigeria on the theme “I will give you rest” (Matthew 11.28: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened…). Drawing on their faith and personal experiences of life’s troubles, they have created a service that speaks to our need for peace and solace in a world filled with struggles and anxieties.

All are welcome – men, women and children of all ages – at this interdenominational service. Come and be part of a huge wave of prayer that will encircle the earth, beginning at dawn in Western Samoa, travelling in native languages around the world, through Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, before finishing in American Samoa at dusk some 38 hours later.

We hope you will stay for refreshments afterwards. We look forward to seeing you at the Methodist Church, West Street, Banwell at 10.30 am on Friday 6th March.
