Emmanuel Church

We are a friendly, welcoming church in the heart of Weston-super-Mare. We meet every Sunday at 10.30 a.m. to pray, sing and hear God's word. At some services (Holy Communion) those who wish to are invited to share bread and wine as Jesus taught us. Everyone is welcome at all our services. If you're not sure what happens just walk in and take part just as much or as little as you like (and stay for refreshments at the end).

This website is a work in progress. Please bear with us as we develop it. Suggestions always welcome.

                                                    Verse For The Week

“ After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. "

Isaiah 53: 11-12

Safeguarding

Our parish of Weston-super-Mare: Emmanuel is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages https://www.bathandwells.org.uk/diocese/safeguarding contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer Anne Jones at [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
