Emmanuel Church

We are a friendly, welcoming church in the heart of Weston-super-Mare. We meet every Sunday at 10.30 a.m. to pray, sing and hear God's word. At some services (Holy Communion) those who wish to are invited to share bread and wine as Jesus taught us. Everyone is welcome at all our services. If you're not sure what happens just walk in and take part just as much or as little as you like (and stay for refreshments at the end).

This website is a work in progress. Please bear with us as we develop it. Suggestions always welcome.

                                                    Verse For The Week

“But now, this is what the Lord says – he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.'."

Isaiah 43: 1-3a

Safeguarding

Our parish of Weston-super-Mare: Emmanuel is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages https://www.bathandwells.org.uk/diocese/safeguarding contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer Anne Jones at [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
