2026 Parish Festival

We are holding a Parish Festival to celebrate our wonderful churches here in Minehead; St Andrew's in Wellington Square, St Peter's on the quay; and St Michael's, our Parish church on North Hill.

The festival runs from 19 - 27 September, culminating with the celebration of Michaelmas on 27 September in St Michael's Church.  Michaelmas is the Christian festival to celebrate St Michael the Archangel, who our parish church is dedicated to.

More information will appear on this page as it becomes available.  However, you can already look forward to:

19 - 27 September:  A flower festival in all 3 churches showcasing different aspects of our parish and places of worship.  The churches will all be open during daylight for people to come and see a range of displays in wonderful settings.

19 September:  A choral day in St Andrew's.  Come along and be part of a scratch choir, learn some music together, and perform in a short concert later in the day!

22 September:  A History Evening in St Michael's.  Come along to St Michael's on North Hill and hear about some the amazing history of this iconic building and its use over the centuries.

24 September:  Moor to Sea - A Prayer Walk.  Come and join us on a prayer walk from the edge of the moor above St Michael's to St Peter's on the quay.

26 September:  Open Church & Tower Day in St Michael's.  Come and spend some time exploring St Michael's and the churchyard, enjoy some refreshments, and maybe take a tour of the tower if you have a head for heights!  Guided tours on the day at ground and above ground level!

27 September:  Patronal Festival Service - St Michael's.  A special service in St Michael's to celebrate St Michael the Archangel.
