What is Candlemas?
In the middle of winter Christians celebrate Jesus as bringing Light to the World. As Jewish tradition required, Mary and Joseph presented the Infant to the Temple in Jerusalem, which we now celebrate through Candlemas. At St Margaret's we will be lighting and blessing the candles used in Church as well as ones held by the congregation.

St Margaret's Spaxton

St. Margaret’s Church has a long and  history of worship and a happy albeit small community of regular worshippers .
Join our services or come for prayer and reflections or for sightseeing. All are welcome!

You will find a place of peace and tranquility where the common people have brought there prayers hopes you and sorrow to their Creator for more than 500 years.Through good times and bad they have turned to their friend and Saviour Jesus.

This is a church for people like you and me. The pew ends show working people and local traditions lovingly maintained, the beautiful churchyard shows the glory of creation.

So take a pew!
