NOTICES

Gardening Now the weather is cooler, please do come along this Saturday (30th) between 2.30 and 4, if you can, to help keep the church grounds tidy. Refreshments available!

David Knight, RIP It was with great sadness that we heard of David's death on 12 July. He had been hospital for five weeks following a heart attack. We will remember him as our organist/choir director from Feb 2016 to July 2018. Our sympathy and prayer go out to Kate, his wife, who sang in the choir (and played the saxophone) when David was here. Funeral details will be announced later.

Sharing Together Our monthly discussion group really will meet this Thursday, 28th, at the Vicarage! Apologies for the confusion over the dates...

Covid Because of the recent 'spike', and the fact that more of our congregation have contracted Covid in the last few weeks than at any other time, please do be careful. The choir will not sing in procession at the beginning of the Parish Mass; instead the plainsong 'propers' will be sung until the procession has entered the chancel.

Outlook This month's parish magazine will be available online from the end of this week. Thank you, all who have contributed copy. If your contribution has not been included this month, it will be used! A few hard copies for those not online will be available at the back of church.

Organ Recital David Bendall is giving an Organ Recital at Temple Methodist Church Taunton. Sunday 7th August. 7.30pm. This is a fund-raising event for Temple Methodist, with a retiring collection.

Flowers this week have kindly been donated by Liz Hathway.

Church Bells Work has begun in the tower for the new bell-frame to be installed, which hopefully will be in mid/late August. After that, the refurbished bells will be hung. Photos of them in all their new glory are on display at the back of church. A number of those concerned with the re-hang will be going to Taylors' workshop in Loughborough on Wednesday to see things in person!

Servers we are running short of servers at the altar! If you’d like to know more or be involved, please see Jenni Llewellyn.

Any items for inclusion in next week’s Notice Sheet to be received at the Parish Office (on paper, email or phone) by THURSDAY MORNING, please.
