Church of England Diocese of Blackburn St. John Baxenden

St John's Baxenden

We are all experiencing challenging times from the pressures caused by the Covid-19 virus and we are hoping to slowly and carefully bring our church building back into use. In the meantime we are holding our events on Zoom. Please see the purple notice and our calendar, both below, for details

Welcome to Baxenden St John.  We welcome ALL of ANY age, those with a lot of church background, those with some background and especially those with none! Our prayer and desire is that, whoever you are and wherever you are up to in life, we can help you meet with the Living and Loving God. We hope our services will help you pray to Him, praise Him, share with Him, listen to Him and seek to live for Him. If you have questions about Jesus, Christianity, or are a new Christian, we would love to help you. If you would like to get more involved, please contact us

Our current church services are:  Little Zoomers at 9am and Zoom service at 10am. Please see the service page for details. Service in church at 10am.

"The parish of Baxenden: St John is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
