Getting here

St Gabriel’s is a welcoming, family-friendly Anglican Church in Blackburn, Lancashire. We are part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Blackburn. Our mission is to invite people of all backgrounds to faith in Jesus Christ and to enable them to grow and deepen in discipleship. To this end, a high value is placed on bible teaching, as well as the presence of the Holy Spirit. The well-known phrase “Word and Spirit” perhaps best describes our approach.

We maintain links with various networks within the wider church such as New Wine, Alpha, and a number of mission organisations.  We adopt an informal orthodox approach to being church.  Our congregations comprise people of all ages

There are various small groups midweek, and everyone is encouraged to belong to one of these. Introductory courses such as Start and Alpha are run periodically through the year. Please contact us for details of the next one (email: [email protected])

Occasional social activities are organised through the year, and are announced through the monthly pew sheet.
