Church of England Diocese of Blackburn Blackburn: Saint Andrew

Safeguarding

The Parish of St. Andrew's is committed to high standards in the safeguarding and care of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Promoting a Safer Church

As a parish/church St Andrew's has adopted the House of Bishops ‘Promoting a Safer Church’ policy and the Parish Safeguarding Handbook, incorporating the House of Bishop’s Safeguarding Policy and Practice Guidance.

Our PCC has formally adopted this and signed the Safeguarding Policy Statement Promoting a Safer Church, at a meeting on 17th June 2019.

We have also displayed the Promoting a Safer Church poster prominently within our church/parish.

All those working with children and adults at risk have undergone safer recruitment, received safeguarding training and support.

Details of our parish safeguarding officer can be found below in the ‘Safeguarding in our Parish – who’s who? 2019', (found below) which is displayed in church.
