St Margaret's Hapton

A Sunday Service is held each week at St Margaret's at 11am. Junior Church - our group for children - will be restarting after the summer break on Sunday 1st September.  All ages start in church together and then the children go to their activities after the first part of the service and then re-join us towards the end.   Parent supervised creche facilities are available in the room at the back of church if you have a baby or toddler who becomes restless. All ages are welcome. We'd love to see you.

For those unable to come to church - or if you'd just like a feel for what goes on at church - the 9.30am service at our sister church, St Leonard's Padiham, is live-streamed every week and can be watched if you go to the What's On panel below and click on the Join Online link. The link can also be used throughout the week to catch up with recorded services on our parish YouTube Channel.

A Sunday evening service is also held at St Leonard's every week at 5.30pm and each Wednesday there is a said service of Holy Communion at 10am with a short address.

The parish of Padiham with Hapton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. If you have a concern about Safeguarding and would like to contact our PSO please email Claire Beattie at this address [email protected]

The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

On Monday 9th September Anthony Holden has been invited to speak at Molly Rigby’s, Mill Street, Padiham. Anthony has a fascinating story to tell and will also share something of his work as one of the Debt Coaches working in the Burnley, Nelson and Colne team. We start at 7.30pm and, of course, there will be chip butties.

Attempts to repair the Wall have not been successful and so the Vicar, Canon Mark Jones, is calling a Public meeting at St Leonard's Church on Wednesday 23rd October at 7pm to discuss possible ways forward.
