St John the Evangelist is OPEN for church services.
Welcome to St John the Evangelist at Worsthorne. The congregations are still permitted to meet for worship even though England has gone into a third lockdown as we begin 2021. You're welcome to attend Sunday services at Worsthorne at 9.30/11am. There is no need to book. Please don't mingle with other households before and after the service - social distancing must be kept at all times. Please use the sanitiser as you enter church and wear a face mask. (If you forget to bring one, a supply of disposable ones is kept in the lobby.)
For those unable to come to church the service is also posted on YouTube – simply do a search for our channel, ‘kcvicar’ and you will see them all there. Do remember it is possible to watch them on TV if you have a smart TV.
Our Tuesday service of Holy Communion will restart 2 March at 7pm.
The parish is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
