Join us for a beautiful and reflective service of Sung Evensong as we celebrate the Feast of St Leonard, the patron saint of our church and a cherished figure in the Christian tradition.

Whether you are a regular worshipper, a visitor, or simply someone who appreciates sacred music and the quiet space that Evensong provides, you are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate our patronal festival and entrust ourselves afresh to God's grace and service.

"Let my prayer be set forth in your sight as incense, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice." (Psalm 141:2)

Bamber Bridge, St Aidan

Welcome to St Aidan’s — a church shaped by hope, rooted in prayer, and open to all.

We believe God is at work in Bamber Bridge, renewing lives and strengthening our community with compassion and courage. Whether you or your family are exploring faith, returning after time away, or simply looking for a place to belong, you are warmly invited to journey with us.

Come and discover a church where Christ’s love is lived, shared, and offered freely.

Part of the south transept has been altered to form a children’s crèche area, and a central nave altar is used for most Sunday morning services.

The Church gardens are maintained to a high standard by a volunteer team who enjoy their work. The provide a lovely space to to sit and reflect. There is no graveyard at St Aidan’s, but a small Garden of Remembrance is sited to the south of the nave; the ashes of many loved ones are interred here.

The Church sits in its own grounds, just off Station Road in Bamber Bridge. There is off road parking for 20-30 cars. Within the grounds there are two Halls, which are regularly used during the week by the local Community. There is also a Scout Hut, which is used by a scout group affiliated to St Aidan’s.

The Community Larder, which serves the local community is located in the grounds of St Aidan’s Church. The Community Larder operates two mornings per week from this facility, and the main Hall (now renamed the Community Hub) provides a warm space with refreshments at
