Church of England Diocese of Blackburn St. Andrew, Longton

St Andrew's

St Andrew’s is a traditional Parish Church situated in the heart of the village of Longton in Lancashire.

We have a friendly Church community, welcoming both regular worshipers and visitors. The pattern of services aims to blend the traditional and more contemporary and events are arranged in both the Church and Church Hall to encompass the wider village community.

Our Vicar for 27 years, Rev. Andrew Parkinson, has recently retired and we are in a period of interregnum until a new vicar is appointed. This could be in as little as three months, but is likely to be longer.

If you live near or just passing, please come and pay us a visit. You will be made most welcome.

The parish of Longton: St Andrew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
