Welcome to St Leonard’s, your local Church of England parish serving the community of Walton‑le‑Dale with the call of Jesus to serve at our heart.

Whether you have lived here all your life, are new to the area, exploring faith, returning to church, or simply looking for a place to pause and pray, you are very welcome. Our doors and our hearts are open.

St Leonard’s is a church with deep roots and a living, growing faith. For centuries people have gathered here to worship, to celebrate, to grieve, to ask questions, and to find hope. Today we continue that story with a warm, friendly congregation, and a commitment to serving our parish with compassion and joy.

We offer a range of services and events throughout the week, from traditional worship to family‑friendly gatherings, quiet spaces for reflection, and opportunities to explore the Christian faith. Children and families are especially welcome, and we have a dedicated area in church to help them feel at home.

If you would like to know more about baptisms, weddings, funerals, or simply want to talk or pray with someone, please do get in touch.
