The Knitting & Crotchet friendship group, ‘In Stitches’ has blossomed, with up to 25 people calling every Thursday morning into church. The group complete personal projects, learn new skills, make items for charitable causes and for special church events such as Christmas, Easter and Harvest. This is an open and informal group held between 10-12 in church.
We have a large and active Mothers' Union Branch at St Bartholomew's. They meet once a month at the branch meeting and are involved in all aspects of parish life including managing the Playgroup and 'In Stitches' community group.
Barty Bear Club is a pre-school parent & toddler group run by the Mothers' Union and church volunteers. We aim to provide a relaxed, happy, safe, stimulating and well-resourced environment in which pre-school children can play, learn and develop social skills, whilst offering support to parents and carers in their demanding role by providing the opportunity to meet with others in similar circumstances.
