Dear God, As I carve my Pumpkin, hear my prayer. Open my mind so I can learn about You (Cut the top of the Pumpkin) Take away all my sins and forgive me for the wrong things I do. ( Clean out the inside of the Pumpkin) Open my eyes so Your love I will see. (Cut out the eyes shape of a heart if possible) I’m sorry for turning my nose up to all you have given me. (Cut out nose shape of a cross if possible) Open my ears so Your word I will hear. (Cut ears out shaped like a Bible) Open my mouth so I can tell others your are near. (Cut mouth in shape of a fish if possible) Let your light shine in all I say and do. (Place a candle inside and light it) Amen
Many pets were brought to join in and be blessed. Pets and all animals play a huge part in our lives and are all part of God’s creation. Come and bring them, or a photo of them to our special service for a blessing. Click on the link to view more pictures from the night!
The youngsters shared their fears and we had fun with glo-sticks! We sang ‘My Lighthouse’ and did various activities on the theme, followed by supper. We meet next on Friday 10th November at 6.30pm in the Refectory.This Sunday, 22nd, there will be free pumpkins in church for youngsters (and adults!) to carve a Christian pumpkin, plus a display and resources available.For more pictures click on the link.
