‘Friday Faith and Fun’ (St Anne’s) were joined by ‘Pizza and Praise’ (St John’s) for an end of term Summer Celebration
We tasted edible leaves and learned about the many plants that can be used for health benefits including soapwort, which can clean our hands. This was followed by a delicious lunch with entertainment by Josh Hindle and Matt Whitely. Mothers’ Union is open to all, whether male, female, mother or not. We enjoyed a glass of fizz and tucked into strawberries, shortcake and clotted cream as we tackled some moral ethical case studies! Our next meeting is Wednesday 6th September, as we take a break for summer.But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. Her spirits were lifted as she saw the transformation of the church hall into the Refectory and Walled Garden. We then had a quiet time in church and said prayers. Joyce made and cared for the altar linen used at St Anne’s, including all the beautiful lace. Thank you to Darren (son-in-law) who made this possible.
