‘The Saturday Café’

Come and enjoy tasty home-cooked food at the Refectory Café on a Saturday. Café open from noon -2pm . Ideal venue if out walking or after shopping. Invite a friend - a lovely place to enjoy a catch up with a friend. For light lunches, cakes and drinks. Come and visit us – all welcome. Why not sit outside in our beautiful Community Garden (dogs welcome). Take always available.

Our regular Sunday Holy Communion service is at 11.00am. Refreshments are served in The Refectory following the service.
Families and young children are welcomed.

Come to The Refectory (opposite the Fence Gate Lodge) for 'Coffee and Conversation’ with Reverend Lesley. Join us for a topical chat, looking at the day’s news and finding Jesus in the midst. Danish pastries, crumpets, toasted teacakes available. All welcome.

Pendleside MU meet at The Refectory on the 2nd Tuesday of every month

Questions……. Do you really know all about your church?

Do you really know how your church serves the community and her plans for the future?

Churches are Charities and registered as such, the members of the PCC are Trustees of the Charity and in line with Church Regulations and Charity Rules, hold an Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting or APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting) dates back to 1919 and is an important meeting in the life of all churches. The Annual meeting is important for the whole church. It is the opportunity for members of the congregation to elect the people they want to serve as leaders in the church and to ask questions about the state of the church finances, building and outreach etc.

On these Sundays, Holy Communion will be available at the sister church in our Benefice at St John's Higham 9.30am .

Our Annual Meetings are not boring meetings! They take place, threaded through a service of praise and thanksgiving.

Please do come along.

We all like to reminisce….we all can reminisce no matter what age we are, or what kind of background we have….and reminiscing is good for our wellbeing.

Join Reverend Lesley at The Refectory on the third Tuesday of every month at 1.30pm – 3pm

Our theme will be flowers and gardens – your own, wild flowers on walks and days out, flower arrangements, flowers in church, your favourite flowers. Please bring a long stemmed flower or hedgerow wild flower, greenery, or even a weed to our meeting.

Pendle Mothers Union would like to invite you to celebrate the work of the Mother's Union on Tuesday 20th May 7.30pm at St Anne's Fence with Holy Communion.

Refreshments served following the service.

Confirmations this year will be celebrated at St Anne’s, Fence with Bishop Joe on Wednesday 21st May 2025 at 7.30pm.

Please come and support our candidates from both our parishes, as they are confirmed, affirming promises made on their behalf by Godparents at their baptisms. Bishop Joe will preside.

It is a service for everyone – hence its name!
It is a service of Holy Communion, but in a less formal way. We pray this will develop to be a popular and accessible service for all.
