St Leonard's Balderstone
We have reluctantly taken the decision to suspend church services during the current lockdown beginning 4th January 2021 in order to keep people safe until the vaccination programme can, hopefully, bring us back to a more normal life.
We have been holding 'virtual' services via ZOOM (which include all our United Benefice friends) and these will continue weekly. You can find further details under 'Services'. They have proved very popular during the pandemic and each week became more ambitious with virtual choirs and videos. If you would like to join in, please contact our Church Wardens for the link.
"The parish of Balderstone: St Leonard is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
