Exciting News for Our Benefice!We're thrilled to share that our United Benefice has been chosen as the Animal Friendly Church of the year by the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals (ASWA). This is the first time a benefice of three churches has been given the award. There will be a plaque for each church to display.This is a great honour and only been possible due to the care of animals our Benefice has shown and the work of many in organising things like our Pet Services, Forest Church and care for supporting the animals of our Benefice and world. Our animals, whether wild, pets or on our farms, are part of God's creation which we care for and love. A big thank you for people's outstanding work and Congratulations to us all.
Exciting News about our Wonderful Forest Church!Two stories of church growth from our Diocese have made it into the top 10 of the UK's best Christian good news for 2024!#9: Beacon Church in Blackpool, led by Hannah and Matt Lockwood, is seeing lives transformed through Jesus and their ‘Eden Team’ outreach.#7: Lancashire is experiencing growth across all ages, with more children and young people attending church. This is thanks to a creative and innovative approach in many places across the Diocese. The story highlights one example … the wonderful Forest Church at Balderstone St Leonard’s CofE Primary, which has been a huge success!Incredible things are happening in the Blackburn Diocese!Link to full article:
