This is a standard one hour Service with sermon and hymns.

Our United Benefice Confirmation Service with Right Reverend Dr Joe Kennedy, Bishop of Burnley, will take place on Sunday 1st June 2025 at 11:00am at St Leonard the Less Church, Samlesbury. Please remember the candidates and their families in your prayers as they prepare for this important step of their Christian journey, and also pray for the leaders who will be teaching and supporting them as they prepare to take these next steps.

Our next Café Church will be on 8th June at 4pm. This will be held in Balderstone School and will begin at 4:00pm with light refreshments and cake! It will be a lovely time of informal fellowship and worship, giving us the opportunity to chat as we explore faith with fun activities for all the family. Everyone and all ages are welcome! This should be a nice informal opportunity to welcome our new Vicar Nathaniel into our friendly church and school family and demonstrate how glad we are to have him with us. Do come along , we are really looking forward to seeing you.

Community Event with games for the children, stalls and barbeque. There will be live music from the Community Ukulele Group.
A lovely opportunity to chat and have fun for adults and children in the open air.
Held outside on the school playground/field (weather permitting).

A social event where we travel around to eat a starter and main course with different hosts and guests around the community before meeting together at Mellor Brook Community Centre for dessert and coffee.

This year we are delighted to have Coppull and Standish brass band to entertain us again with Christmas themed music and Carols for all the family to enjoy. The church will be lit with candles creating a lovely Christmas atmosphere and the band will be joined by our school children and the 'pop up' choir in some joint performances. A very special family event followed by mince pies and mulled wine in school. Tickets : Adults £6 Children Free

Our Christmas Fair is held in school and has stalls (cakes, crafts, books, plants/wreathes) raffles, games, tombola, refreshments and, of course, a visit from Father Christmas himself. We would love you to come and join us. Small charge of £1 for adults and 50p children.
