Our Monthly Magazine Archive

A window into the life of St Paul’s

Welcome to the St Paul’s Church, Low Moor Monthly Magazine Archive,  a growing collection of our parish magazines, bringing together the stories, people, events and memories that make St Paul’s such a special part of our community.

Our monthly magazine is much more than a diary of services. It is a snapshot of life at St Paul’s — sharing news from the church, reflections on our faith, forthcoming events, community activities, photographs, celebrations, important notices and stories from the many people who make our church what it is.

Over the months and years, our magazine has captured so much of what happens at St Paul’s: worship, music, family activities, fundraising, community events, volunteering, heritage, celebrations and the many occasions when our church doors are opened to the wider community.

A record of our church family

The archive gives us the opportunity to look back and remember how St Paul’s has continued to grow, change and reach out to those around us with Catherine who works so hard to keep the family "well".

From our regular services and community gatherings to Cream Teas, Soup Lunches, concerts, heritage events, fundraising activities and special celebrations, the magazines help tell the story of a busy and welcoming church at the heart of Low Moor.

They also provide a valuable record for the future,  preserving photographs, names, stories and memories which might otherwise be forgotten.

Browse, remember and discover

Whether you have been part of St Paul’s for many years, are a recent visitor, or have simply discovered our church through the website, we hope you enjoy exploring the archive.

You may spot a familiar face, remember an event you attended, discover something about the history of St Paul’s, or simply get a glimpse of the wonderful variety of life within our church and community.

And if you are new to St Paul’s, the magazines are a great way to see who we are, what we do and how we are reaching out and growing together in God’s love.

Our story continues…

We will continue adding magazines to the archive as new editions are produced, creating an ongoing digital record of the life of St Paul’s for our church family, our community and future generations.

A note from Catherine our Vicar:

Thank you to everyone who contributes to our magazine and, most importantly, to everyone who helps make the stories within it possible.

St Paul’s Church, Low Moor — reaching out and growing together in God’s love.

Catherine also wanted to add a special thanks to the mazine long standing creator:

A very special thank you… and a little secret!

Behind every edition of our magazine is one man who seems to have acquired rather a lot of job titles!

Editor. Producer. Chief Photographer. Designer. Proof-reader. Occasional IT department. And general magazine wizard!

We are incredibly lucky to have John working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring each edition of our magazine together. His eye for detail, creativity, photography and sheer dedication help make every issue the superb publication that it is.

John consistently produces a magazine to an exceptionally high standard — and somehow manages to make it look effortless!

There is, however, a little connection that we probably ought to mention…

John also happens to be married to our Vicar, Catherine!

Whether this means he volunteered for the job, was gently encouraged into it, or simply realised there was no escape, we couldn't possibly comment!

What we can say is that St Paul’s is extremely fortunate to have John giving so much of his time, talent and enthusiasm to our magazine. Much of his work happens quietly behind the scenes, but the finished result speaks for itself.

So, from all of us at St Paul’s:

Thank you, John, for everything you do,  and for putting up with us, month after month!
