About Us

We are a Church of England church, located in North Lancaster in the parish of Skerton. We are a very friendly and welcoming church with Full Disabled access, Hearing Loop and a Children Friendly Church award which was awarded to us by the Diocese of Blackburn
We are very active in the local community – we have links with the local school St. Luke's, Vale View,  and ecumenically with local churches for annual confirmation.

Within the Church, we have a Nutmeg (lunch) group, Boys Brigade and Girls Association, a Junior Church and a Craft group, we have Bible study groups during Lent.
In April 2010 we refurbished St Luke’s to create our Community Room. It was opened by then Bishop of Blackburn, we now use the room for our, Craft group, chuch meetings, and refreshment after Family services. This room is available for hire, it is ideal to accommodate groups for meetings or can be used for small gatherings after services. Other facilities include a small kitchen with cooking equipment and toilet.
We currently have traditional services in church, however do also enjoy new types of  worship. We are friendly and invite anyone new to our Parish or just wish to join us for any of our services or groups. We are situated on Mainway tucked away behind Church Court building, or just on the right of Skerton High school off Owen Road. We hope you enjoy learning more about us, and we look forward to welcoming you to our Church.

For more information follow us on Facebook on the St-Lukes-Skerton page.
