St. John's C.E. Church is the village church of Silverdale and offers a warm welcome to people of all ages and backgrounds. St John's has a thriving primary school. We strive to worship God in a way which brings comfort, joy and challenge to all present; and we seek to witness to the love of God in Silverdale and the wider community, aiming to serve the community with practical care, love and support.
Silverdale is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Leighton Moss, the RSPB centre is located here.
People come to rest, reflect, walk and relax; even cyclists sometimes stop to worship at the church, still in their lycra! We welcome children and their families.
There are two services on Sunday: SUNDAY@9 - an informal service at 9am followed by bacon butties and a more traditional service at 10:30am
There is also a service every Thursday at 10:30am.
All are welcome.
