Thanks to everybody who kindly supported our ‘Big help out’ day of community service for the King’s Coronation Bank Holiday, on Monday 8 May. We were amazed to see a turnout of about 35 people. Despite the somewhat rainy weather, we made substantial progress at tidying the churchyard and cleaning the church inside. Meanwhile, Brian kept our young helpers entertained by showing them how to build bug hotels. When the rain set in and we had finished our work, we all enjoyed hotdogs, chocolate doughnuts and soft drinks.
