What a fantastic evening we had for our Diocese of Blackburn centenary songs of praise service! We enjoyed 14 hymns, with nominations not only from our own congregation but also from St Paul's Warton and Freckleton Methodist Church, including special nominations from our Mothers' Union and our Rose Queen and King. We sang Dan's favourite hymn, 'All things bright and beautiful', with a touching reminder that there's always something beautiful to see in life, and always a reason to look to the future with hope. The choirs of Holy Trinity and St Paul's led us with a strong voice, with Andrew at the organ and Gwen adeptly threading everything together as Master of Ceremonies. Thank you also to everyone who kindly provided the tea, coffee and cakes, whereby we collected some more donations for Macmillan Cancer Support .🙏
