The month of May saw our Confirmation service with Bishop Jill, where four of our young people from Holy Trinity Church of England School were confirmed. Gwen and myself have got to know them over the last few weeks at their preparation class and we couldn’t be happier for them. Three of them were also baptised, which made it a rather special service. They have received invitations to Yurch’s barbecue, coming up soon, and we hope they will join us for an evening of food and games. Please continue to pray for them as they continue their journey of faith. May God bless them richly in all that they do.<br>Lynn and Gwen
Thanks to everybody who kindly supported our ‘Big help out’ day of community service for the King’s Coronation Bank Holiday, on Monday 8 May. We were amazed to see a turnout of about 35 people. Despite the somewhat rainy weather, we made substantial progress at tidying the churchyard and cleaning the church inside. Meanwhile, Brian kept our young helpers entertained by showing them how to build bug hotels. When the rain set in and we had finished our work, we all enjoyed hotdogs, chocolate doughnuts and soft drinks.
