St Peter’s and St David’s: Are having a mission weekend 18-20 July, which coincides with Tram Sunday. They have a host of event planned from the Friday evening right through until 4 pm on the Sunday.  Whether it's Blackpool Male Voice Choir on the Friday night, the Teddy Bears' Picnic on Saturday lunch, Sea Shanties, Quiz and Bingo on Saturday, or "Tram Sunday” at St Peter's on Sunday, there's something for everybody! These events are all aimed at folk who don’t usually attend church and therefore, ideal for you to invite someone along. You may book any of these events online at https://www.fleetwood.church/big-weekend and if you are able to volunteer to help at any of the events you can do that on online too, or complete the paper form at the back of church from today. Let’s do what we can to help build up God’s Kingdom here in Fleetwood and to support our brothers and sisters in Christ.

From the Vicar: By the time you read this, I will have returned from holiday, having celebrated a significant birthday and now just days away from marking ten years since my ordination as a priest in Christ’s Church. I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks for the many birthday cards, kind greetings, and generous gifts I received from so many of you. It would be impossible to thank each of you individually, but please know that I have read every word of every card, and I am deeply touched by your thoughtfulness.

As I begin my seventh year as Vicar of St Nic’s, we stand on the threshold of two exciting developments: the appointment of a Youth Pastor, and the commencement of Stage III in the restoration of our beautiful church.

Thank you, sincerely, for your ongoing love, support, and prayers.

Please also remember in your prayers: David Jackson, Martyn Westby, Brian Brown, Pauline Brookes, Louise Gorley, Michael Carthy, Paul Sumner, Sandra Pratt, Chris Kelsall, Ruth Aspinall, Tracey Ashworth, Philip Wayman, Joanne Mallin, Harvey and Chris Cousins. We also remember the families of Marion Brookes and Mark Price whose funerals are due to take place.
