Sea Sunday: We are delighted today to be hosting the annual Sea Sunday Service. It provides a special opportunity to reflect, pray, and take action for the brave men and women who work at sea to ensure we have everything we need. Seafarers often face dangerous and lonely conditions, spending months away from their families. Let us ask God to protect all seafarers and fishers, who work hard on the perilous sea, to bring us so many of the goods that we rely on in our daily lives. We pray especially for those affected by conflicts around the world, particularly in the Red Sea, Ukraine and Israel and Palestine. A collection will be taken during this service, the proceeds of which will help with the ongoing work of Fleetwood Lifeboat and the Fishermen’s Mission.
BIG WEEKEND – Please pray for St Peter’s and St David’s who are holding their mission weekend starting this Friday. Friday 7 pm Male Voice Choir at St P’s, Saturday 7 pm Sea Shanties at St D’s and Sunday 10-4 pm lots of fun and activities in the grounds of St P’s. These events are aimed at folk who don’t usually attend church and therefore, ideal for you to invite someone to. Pray that new people will come along, that they will feel welcome and hear the Gospel.
Vicarage Garden Party: On Saturday 19th July, from 2 pm you are invited to join us for afternoon tea at the vicarage. It’s a time to be together and to celebrate God’s goodness. Please sign up at the back of church to give us an idea of numbers. If the weather lets us down, we will move indoors.
Please also remember in your prayers: David Jackson, Martyn Westby, Brian Brown, Pauline Brookes, Louise Gorley, Michael Carthy, Paul Sumner, Sandra Pratt, Chris Kelsall, Carole Pilling, Tracey Ashworth, Philip Wayman, Joanne Mallin, Harvey, Maureen Baines and Chris Cousins. We also remember Jean Mountford and Catherine Williams whose funerals are due to take place.
