Goodbye, Adios, Au revoir, Auf Wiedersehen, Arrivederci, 😢

It is with both sadness and deep gratitude that we bid farewell to Vicky today. Vicky has been on placement with us at St Nic’s since Advent Sunday, and in that time, she has truly become part of our church family.

We are sincerely thankful to her sending church, St Thomas’s in Blackpool, for releasing her for this placement, and we are eternally grateful for the blessing of Vicky’s ministry among us. Many have remarked that it feels as though she has been with us forever—and that is because, from day one, Vicky rolled up her sleeves and wholeheartedly joined in with the life of our church community.

She has walked alongside us with warmth, energy, and a genuine love for God’s people. We have been deeply enriched by her wisdom, her gift of teaching, and her gracious pastoral heart. Our confirmation candidates, in particular, will always remember the thoughtful guidance and encouragement she offered as she prepared them for this significant step in their own journeys of faith.

As Vicky returns to continue her ministry at St Thomas’s and beyond, we send her with our heartfelt thanks, our prayers for God’s richest blessing, and our assurance that she will always have a home here at St Nic’s.

Go well, Vicky—thank you for all you have shared with us, and may God continue to use you mightily in His service.

Sea Sunday: Grateful thanks to all our wonderful hostesses who served a sumptuous selection of cakes after this annual gathering at St Nic’s. Thanks also to those who stayed behind to clear up.

BIG WEEKEND – This afternoon and as part of Tram Sunday, St Peter’s and St David’s will be holding the final event of their mission weekend in the grounds of St Peter’s. If you’re around why not pop in and say hello.

Please also remember in your prayers: David Jackson, Martyn Westby, Brian Brown, Pauline Brookes, Louise Gorley, Michael Carthy, Paul Sumner, Sandra Pratt, Chris Kelsall, Carole Pilling, Tracey Ashworth, Philip Wayman, Joanne Mallin, Harvey, Maureen Baines and Chris Cousins. We also remember Jean Mountford, Dorothy Sillis and Catherine Williams whose funerals are due to take place.
