Nancy’s funeral: Will be held in church on Monday, 22nd September. Her daughters have kindly asked that Nancy’s friends from church share a memory of her to be read during the service. If you would like to contribute, please write down your memory and give it to the Vicar by Sunday, 7th September, or alternatively, you may email the Vicar at [email protected]

Harvest Ceilidh: Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music, laughter, and dancing! On behalf of Churches Together in Fleetwood, St Nic’s is delighted to be hosting this year’s Harvest Ceilidh.  We’ve got the amazing “Still Reeling” Ceilidh and Barn Dance Band booked to keep you on your feet all night and no ceilidh would be complete without a hearty fish and chip supper included in your ticket. Save the evening of Saturday 11th October. Tickets will go on sale next week at £10 per person, but be quick! Numbers are limited and it’s strictly first come, first served.

Harvest Messy Church: Is taking place on Saturday 4th October. We need jars to make harvest lanterns. If you have any going spare please may we have them? There’s a box at the back of church!

Angela & Charles: are taking on an incredible challenge! They’ve committed to a sponsored run of 24.6 miles in a single day, linking together six Lakeland churches. At each church they’ll pause to pray, before heading on to the next. The route is no easy feat – it winds over road, trail, and fell, with more than 3,000 feet of climbing along the way! Every step they take will help raise vital funds for the ongoing restoration of St Nic’s. You can support them by sponsoring via their JustGiving page (linked on the church website and Facebook), or, if you’d prefer, by signing the sponsor sheet at the back of church. Please spread the word and encourage friends and neighbours to get involved – together we can make a huge difference!

Prayers: Please pray that the right candidates will apply for our Youth Pastor position and that God was grant us right discernment at the interview stage.

Some names have been removed from this list to make room for others who are currently very unwell or in special need of our prayers. Do speak to the Vicar if you want to add to the list. Please pray for, Brian Brown, Chris Kelsall, Harvey Stansfield, Sandra Foulkes, Maureen Baines, Hannah, Keith, Carol Walters and Sarah Taylor. We also remember June Larkin, Peter Tilling, Marion Cross, Nancy Burr and John Walker whose funerals are due to take place.
