Prayer ministry is available after the 10.45 service in the east transept

Chris Kelsall: The senior pastor from Emmanuel Church, who we have prayed for relentlessly, died on Wednesday afternoon in the hospice. Chris was a beautiful soul whose kindness, faith and love touched everyone who knew him. He is now at peace with the Lord he loved so deeply, but that doesn’t make the pain of missing him any easier. Please keep his wife Sue, his boys and his church family in your prayers.

Today: We celebrate All Saints’ Day—a reminder of our shared faith and our deep spiritual connection with the whole Church, both in Heaven and on Earth. We are also marking All Souls’ Day, a time to remember our own loved ones and all the faithful departed. During the service, there will be a special moment to honour those we hold in our hearts. The names listed at the back of the church will be placed symbolically on the Lord’s Table as part of our worship.

Then, at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, we will welcome back to church the families of all whose funerals we have conducted over the past year. During that service, the names of their loved ones will be read aloud and families will be invited to light a candle in remembrance.

You are warmly invited to join us for this moving service and to offer your support to our guests.

Charles & Angela: The sponsor money has now been collected and the grand total gifted to the Church Restoration Fund is £1764. Grateful thanks again to Charles & Angela for undertaking this amazing and strenuous initiative and thanks to all who sponsored them.

Christmas Draw Raffle Tickets: Are now available and we’re hoping that we can all sell 5 books each at £1 per ticket. If you are on the electoral roll, you will receive and envelope containing the tickets, if not please see Ruth who will be happy to provide you with some!

The Installation of the Vicar: This Thursday, we’re delighted to welcome Bishop Jill and Archdeacon David to St Nic’s as they officially install Rev’d Carolyn as our Vicar. Up until July, Carolyn served as our Interim Vicar. The occasion will include a short legal ceremony in church, followed by refreshments at our usual Thursday coffee morning. Come if you can!

Prayers: Please also pray for, Brian Brown, Harvey Stansfield, Sandra Foulkes, Maureen Baines, Hannah, Carol Walters, Muriel, Debbie, Joyce Bussell, Maureen Hardman and Sarah Taylor. We also remember Chris Kelsall and Elaine Waring whose funerals are due to take place.
