HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh – It was with much sadness that we received the news of the duke’s death on Friday. As it was announced just after midday, we were able to toll the church bell in a mark of respect for an extraordinary man who led an extraordinary life. Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, said the duke "consistently put the interests of others ahead of his own and, in so doing, provided an outstanding example of Christian service". Please do remember our Queen and her family at this time of great sadness. Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.
